Perry Trails

Description: The Perry Bike Trail was created for the purpose of having a competitive level bike trail in North East Kansas. Planning of the trail started in early 1995 with the first trail clearing starting in the spring of 1996. These trails are built and maintained entirely by volunteers under the direction of the Kansas Trails Council, Perry State Park and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. To date, there are approximately 20 miles of single-track trail completed. Work on additional trail and improvements are ongoing.

Location: The Perry Lake bike trails are a 45-minute drive from Lawrence on the west side of Perry Lake. Check Google Maps for interactive driving directions.

Directions: From Lawrence, take US Highway 24 west to Perry. Turn north on Kansas Route 237 (West Lake Road). Follow West Lake Road past the Perry State Park Office, across the bridge towards Rock Creek Marina. Just past the marina and the bridge, take the first right (A sign on the right says “Perry State Park Biking & Hiking Trails”). Look for the parking lot and trail head on the right at the end of the pavement.
