LMBC members, in agreement with the City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation department, maintain and build the River Trails in the Lawrence Riverfront Park north of the Kansas River and east of N 8th Street in North Lawrence. LMBC also assists regional trail coordinators with maintenance at other regional trails.
LMBC owns a trailer, mowers, power weed whackers and hand tools for maintaining trails in the region. You may see this trailer on the Kansas River levee or down at the tree line when we are working to cut back weeds, remove fallen trees, reroute trail and manage erosion.
Monthly Trail Maintenance days are the second Saturday of the month. Mowing and tree clearing happen as needed. Contact LMBC at info@lawrencemountainbikeclub.org if you would like to get involved.
