Rockstars of the trail

Each month volunteers gather at the local trails to trim, mow, and dig in the dirt. The area trails need to be trimmed back in the spring and summer to prevent vegetation from covering up the trail. It is a lot of work, but with volunteer help it makes the job easier and more fun.

Trail Volunteers!
A four-wheeler is used to get to sections that need work faster. It can cary tools or people to locations.
A lot of the work is just removing branches from hitting riders on the trail.

Trail work days are the first Saturday of the month at Clinton Lake and the second weekend of the month at the Lawrence River Trail. The work at the LRT alternates between Saturdays and Sundays.

Clinton work day June 7 – 9 am. Meet at the State Park office.
LRT work day is Sunday, June 8 – 9 am. Meet at the lower parking lot at the LRT.
